The symposium takes place in the conference room of Hefei Crowne Plaza Hotel (Building A, 598 Huangshan Road, Hefei, 230088).
Hefei is the capital city of Anhui Province and a major scientific and educational center in China. It is home to several prestigious universities and research institutes, such as the University of Science and Technology of China, the Hefei Institutes of Physical Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the National Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory. Hefei also has rich cultural and natural attractions, such as the Sanhe Ancient Town, the Hefei Botanical Garden, and the Chaohu Lake. The Crowne Plaza Hefei is a high-end hotel located in the Shushan District of Hefei, 35 km from Hefei Xinqiao International airport.
Transportation:
- By air: Hefei Xinqiao International Airport is the main airport of the city
- By train: Hefei Railway Station and Hefei South Railway Station connects the city to other major cities of China, such as Beijing (3.5~5 hours), Shanghai (2~2.5 hours) and Nanjing (40~60 minutes)
One can buy the train ticket from either the 12306.cn website or the 12306 Railway app on your mobile phone. A valid photo ID is needed to buy the ticket. Chinese ID card, foreign passport and other valid travel documents are admissible. Alipay, WeChat, visa cards, union pay cards are accepted payment methods.
Ground transportation:
Taxi (~120 CNY) and shuttle buses are available from Hefei Xinqiao International Airport to Crowne Plaza and Best Western Premier Hotel. Taxi rate from Xinqiao International airport to Crowne Plaza: 70~100 CNY, 40~60 minutes (~40 km).
Taxi and subway are available from both Hefei Station and Hefei South Station to Crowne Plaza and Best Western Premier Hotel. Taxi rate from Hefei South Station (also known as Hefei Nan Station) to Crowne Plaza: 25~35 CNY, 20 minutes (~12 km). Taxi rate from Hefei Station to Crowne Plaza: 25~40 CNY, 25 minutes (~15 km).
Our staff will stay at the passenger exits of Xinqiao airport, Hefei Station and Hefei South Station to guide you to the ground transportation. Please pay attention to signs with PacificSpin2024. Here are several tips if you plan to take a taxi:
· There are two hotels under the brand of Crowne hotel. The other one is called Crowne Plaza Hefei Rongqiao, or Rongqiao Crowne (融侨皇冠酒店), which is located at the east of the city. Our conference venue Crowne Plaza (皇冠假日酒店) is located at the west of the city. Please do not get to the wrong hotel.
· There are two major train stations within the city, Hefei Station (合肥站), and the Hefei South Station (also known as Hefei Nan Station，合肥南站). Please go to the correct station.
· The taxi accepts cash (CNY - Chinese Yuan) only. They do not accept credit cards.
· If you take a taxi, take into account the fact that local taxi drivers do not speak foreign languages. We have prepared several notes for addresses of some destinations in Chinese and English so that you can print it and show it to Taxi drivers or when you need helps from local people.
