Topic: Non-equilibrium EFT, hydrodynamics and dissipation
Abstract:
I give a pedagogical introduction to the recent development in the formulation of non-equilbrium effective field thoery and its application for fluctuating hydrodynamics. I emphasis new insights and results made available from this systematic formalism, including the the notion of the local equilibrium based on emergent Z2 symmetry as well as an new way of identifying non-disspative effects. If time permited, I will discuss some preliminary results on including non-hydro modes in this formalism that might be crucial to understand the emergence of hydro behavior from the underlying microscopic QFT.
